ABOUT
Navaratri or Navadurga Parva happens to be the most auspicious and unique period of devotional sadhanas and worship of Shakti (the sublime, ultimate, absolute creative energy) of the Divine conceptualized as the Mother Goddess-Durga. Soorya Performing Arts celebrated Navarathri with dance and music. Indian classical dances are rooted with the traditional Hindu temples. Temples not only kept alive the culture, traditions but also supported performing arts. Also, traditional performing arts also intertwined the philosophical works into its structure. All classical dances possess some degree of themes of "Durga" - the main deity of Navarathri. We made the performance simple and elegant, by inviting one team for one day, so they can show their artistic proficiency totally. The evenings will begin with chants and prayers; followed by short Carnatic music recitals. The main dance performance will last for 90 - 100 minutes.
